Responsibilities

• Define manufacturing processes for the assembly of lithium-ion batteries using our patented technology
• Use stage-gate process to develop, characterize, and implement production scale-up processes
• Support the equipment engineering team in the design, equipment selection, and qualification of customized equipment for high-volume manufacturing
• Define/develop novel methods for patterning and assembling state of the art electrode material

Job Summary

This key individual will be responsible for managing a team and process for failure analysis at Enovix, including summarizing key findings and developing new techniques and methods.


Responsibilities

• General management of FA team
• Set-up, maintain and train team to process “standard” FAs
• Be able to perform all FA techniques when necessary
• Proactively gain a detailed understanding of the process and identify areas where FA and characterization not normally performed by the process team can identify process limits, gaps and failure modes. • Develop and execute techniques that help improve process capability, understanding and align process specifications to functional, safety and reliability requirements.
• Work with external failure, characterization, and analytical labs to develop FA and characterization techniques that can’t be done in house.
• Set up mechanics to publish results of FAs in a form digestible by the engineering and management team
• Set-up tracking system for past FAs that are searchable to link current questions and failure modes
• Summarize and publish key results on a weekly basis that focuses on the most important FAs and key new findings
• Identify gaps in knowledge of Enovix battery performance and failures that could be answered with new FA techniques
• Develop and implement new techniques that expand the scope of knowledge and understanding of the Enovix battery. Effectively communicate any new knowledge to the broader team
• Set up metrics to track and report key metrics such as backlog, WIP and cycletime, with targets and improvement plans
• Contribute to general battery performance, reliability and safety knowledge by understanding key metrics and gaps
• Provide support to the NPI and customer teams to promptly address FA results and questions raised by customers


Skills and Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
• 5+ years experience in a technology company in an FA lab environment
• Above experience in a battery company would be highly desired
• Previous experience as a process engineer or process development engineer would be highly desirable
• Intimate knowledge of battery performance and safety behavior would be highly desirable

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Set up structure to manage new products introduction process from first contract proposal through the manufacturing qualification process
• Interface with product engineering team to seamlessly manage and deliver first articles
• Align specifications and capabilities and identify development gaps
• Interface with R&D team to manage delivery of required process modules and improvements
• Manage team to deliver samples on time with target performance and quality
• Manage trade-offs between programs to deliver maximum value to customers as well as Enovix
• Interface with internal manufacturing team to make sure that product is ready to be scaled up at the target throughput requirements and cost
• Successfully manage programs through the company stage-gate review process
• Align with marketing team to provide unified message to customers regarding program status
• Anticipate and escalate issues that threaten program schedules and work with Estaff to marshal all necessary company resources to contain
• Be first point of contact for the customer on any technical or delivery issues until product qualification is complete

• At least BS degree in science or engineering
• 10+ years experience in a technology company scaling up new products and designs

We’re looking to hire several experienced production professionals to help equip and support our new 50,000 square-feet lithium-ion battery production facility in Fremont, California for commercialization of our 3D Silicon™ Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery.
 

Job Summary

Enovix is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering group. The engineer will be responsible for the design and validation of our unique packaging structure.


Responsibilities

• Develop methods and equipment for measuring forces associated with silicon lithiation in the Enovix package
• Develop mathematical models describing the mechanics of the Enovix cell
• Validate margins of safety on existing and new designs
• Create and maintain structural and thermal finite element models/analyses
• Plan and execute experiments in the lab
• Research materials and construction methods for future product improvements
• Interface with equipment and process engineering teams to validate changes to our process of record


Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience and a BS or MS in mechanical engineering
• Fluent in SolidWorks 3D CAD/PDM Enterprise/Finite Element Analysis
• Familiar with DOE and FMEA methodologies
• Proven track record of working in a dynamic, highly creative work environment
• Ability to work on many different projects at the same time
• Experience enabling the scale-up from R&D processes to high-volume manufacturing
• Experience in the design, development, manufacturing or qualification of Li-ion batteries
• Effectively communicate and publish learning, experimental results, etc.
• Excellent trouble shooting skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Understand the materials and equipment requirements of our company
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations
• Identify suitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
• Build relationships within the company and with equipment and materials suppliers
• Define supply strategies
• Run procurement function for company and execute purchase orders
• Own purchasing contracts, supply agreements and import/export agreements
• Negotiate supply agreement to meet cost roadmaps and provide security of supply
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Track and report key performance metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Control spending and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs


Skills and Qualifications

• BS in business management, supply chain management or related field
• Experience running supply chain and procurement functions in high volume environment
• Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items

Enovix is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to develop and execute a talent strategy that meets our business objectives and aligns with our culture and values. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, business-minded, metrics-driven recruiting executive that thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


Responsibilities

• Build and manage a comprehensive vision, strategy and goals for talent acquisition
• Work closely with the executive team and hiring managers to help create, manage and measure against aggressive hiring goals and objectives
• Provide guidance and subject matter expertise, and oversee programs and activities related to talent processes and practices
• Adopt and implement a proven, standardized job description and interview process for all hiring managers and others involved in evaluating candidates
• Implement a cloud-based Applicant Tracking System (ATS) that integrates with LinkedIn Recruiter Tools to electronically manage the recruiting and hiring process
• Track, analyze and report talent metrics to monitor and continuously improve and optimize performance
• Develop and implement a cohesive day-to-day talent operation and related programs across all functional areas
• Lead and manage recruitment programs such as employment branding, diversity and inclusion, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years progressive experience in talent acquisition/recruiting, including 3+ years in a start-up, technology environment
• Experience with a company that manufactures electronic products is preferred; experience with a battery manufacturing company is ideal
• 3+ years managing a high performing talent team of internal and external resources
• Successful development and execution of a talent program with a high-growth tech company
• Demonstrated experience creating and executing a creative, metrics-driven, consultative, service-oriented recruiting strategy
• Ability to develop business cases and service requirements, influence and foster trust with stakeholders at all levels, while creating and managing strategic alliances

Job Summary

Enovix is seeking an experienced Quality Vice President /Director to develop the Company’s quality programs and systems and build and run a high performing quality organization to help the Company achieve its quality goals, within internal manufacturing operations, at suppliers and with customers.


Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy Quality strategy, programs and roadmap for Company.
• Build and develop a high performing team and manage all aspects of Company’s Quality organization: Product, Customer, and Supplier Quality.
• Partner with organizational leaders to educate and drive quality initiatives, systems and methods, meet quality objectives, troubleshoot manufacturing and production defects, and customer complaints.
• Develop key quality system metrics and process indicators to proactively identify and address quality systems or product issues
• Represent Company with Customers to articulate quality systems, review issues, provide feedback and provide permanent corrective action.
• Lead organization in critical thinking (8D and project management), in the understanding and application of quality tools.
• Lead supplier quality improvement efforts to achieve high quality performance
• Formulate and recommends QA, QC, and validation policies and programs


Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in building high performing teams
• Effective leadership skills
• Strong communication skills, team, individual, written, verbal, listening, and presentation
• Experience with ISO 9001 and continuous improvement methods (8D)

Educational

Work Experience

• 10+ year experience as a Quality Director/Vice President preferably in mobile electronics markets
• Experience with quality and manufacturing systems including ISO 9001, SPC, TQM
• Experience managing quality with Asian supplier
